Sharon is an extremely gifted Professional Coach and Choreographer. She is a faculty member at the ABT William J. Gillespie School at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. She started her training at the illustrious School of American Ballet under the tutelage of the legendary George Balanchine. From there she found her true love, pas de deux, or the art of partnering, and became a decorated ballroom dance exhibition champion. Sharon Savoy is a 3-time World, 3-time Star Search and 4-time Blackpool Exhibition Dance Champion. She is the author of “Ballroom! Obsession and Passion inside the World of Competitive Dance,” which was launched at the Kennedy Center and is a must read for anyone who loves dance. Sharon is also the organizer of Cruising with the Stars, an On-Camera/ Radio Host, and a world & nationally recognized dance competition Judge, Choreographer, and Coach.

Sharon was one of the first three NYC ballet dancers trained by the creator of Gyrotonic®, Julio Horvath. She credits her ability to have a long competitive dance career to the Gyrotonic system.

Sharon has choreographed for Competitions, Live Performances, Film, and TV.  She has also coached many professional dancers for both competitions and Prime-time TV shows. Her passion is to work with other skilled movers and bodyworkers to bring their own practice and ability to coach others, to new heights.
